Emkay Group, a leading property developer in Malaysia celebrated a new achievement recently with the opening of their Bangunan Lestari Kumpulan Emkay (BLKE) in Cyberjaya — the first building in Malaysia accredited with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification.

LEED is the green building certification system developed by the US Green Building Council. It is a third-party certification program and a widely accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. There are four levels of certification — Platinum, Gold, Silver and Certification. TROX worked with M&E consultant - Norman, Disney & Young S/B since 2009 on the realization of this building which was named Shell Cyberjaya during construction as Shell Business Service Centre Sdn Bhd will occupy the building for 10 + 5 year lease agreement.

Following the long design phase Sunway Engineering was awarded the contract and TROX was able to deliver 554 pieces of Fan Air Terminals (FAT) and 4406 pieces of floor diffusers (FBA) for this project.

The grand opening ceremony took place on the 10th of March 2011 which included an exhibition in which TROX participated. TROX showed the active chilled beam model DID632 and one displacement diffuser in addition to the FAT units used on the project.  The guest of honor was the former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. After some words from Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and  Emkay Group director Fazwinna Mustapha Kamal they visited all the booths and were interested to learn about the products supplied even though they only had 2 minutes time for each booth.

Emkay Group organized a very good lunch where all guests and exhibitors were made welcome.
