A double-walled, sound insulated and airtight stretch of channel with a part where the channel width can be varied and in which sound attenuator elements (splitters) can be installed. If necessary, this channel is flood with air. Sound attenuator parameters, such as insertion loss, flow noise and pressure loss, are measured.
